Local Poultry Farms in NC

Hi! I'm fairly new to this website and I am looking to buy a few more chicks. I would be absolutely thrilled if there are any local breeders that I could get some chicks from. I already have 11 wonderful chickens and would love to add about 4 more chicks to my flock. If anyone knows of local breeders or if you happen to sell young chicks, please let me know!

Where are you located in NC? There is a breeder called Dragon Fly Farms in Hillsborough. There is also a place called Little Birdie Chicken Farm and Hatchery in Wake Forest. I have gotten chicks from both and been very happy. However, I don't think Little Birdie actually hatches - I think they are a reseller. They also guarantee the sex of the birds. Dragon Fly sells straight run unless you get a sex link breed. Both places have websites. Good Luck!

I went to the local tractor supply today and they had some breeds of chicks in a brooder.

I think most of the Tractor Supply stores have chicks right now. Not a lot of variety but I know people who get chicks from them with no problems.
