Lock Down :D

I've got 6 hatched from her eggs so far, which breaks my 'streak' of 5-chick hatches. Don't know if there will be more, wait and see I guess

I was wondering, I haven't really paid attention to the lock down before (silly me) it's almost been 12 hours when is it ok for me to start pulling the dry babies from the bator?

12-24 hours after hatching. Usually, if I find babies in the bator in the morning, I'll take any hatched out that evening. If they hatch in the evening I'll take them out in the morning. Just be sure to put a wet cloth in there when you're done to bump the humidity back up

I pulled 15 fuzzy little babies out of the bator just now, there are still 5 little ones still in the bator that need to dry, they'll be pulled tomorrow morning

I also have some exciting news, I actually sold all of the babies from the last clutch plus my 2 older blue face silvers to a very nice lady for $60, I am really trying to find the ones I want to keep as breeding stock. lol.

Awesome!

Boykin: It really depends on your incubator and how you manage it, also if the eggs sent to you are fresh. For shipped eggs you should expect 50% hatch or higher.
