Lock down

I have eggs in incubator but put them in at different dates. Will the chicks hatch with NO lock down? ( I will remove and put under light after initial pip) I want the humidity up so I keep them incubated until pip. Unless someone cal tell me how to increase humidity outside of the incubator.

Just make sure to take out the automatic turner before your earliest hatch date!

They need to be in the incubator with the humidity up around 70%. They don't need food/water for up to 72 hours, so depending when your others hatch, they'd be fine to just stay in there. Pulling one out that pipped could cause it to shrink wrap, and then you'd be assisting it, which raises the propensity for wry neck, splayed legs, etc. to occur.
