Hello all I am new here, haven't officially introduced myself & I've been doing a whole lot of lurcking..I really love this site, what a wealth of information.

My question is..I have seen a lot of talk on LOCK DOWN...Can someone explain when lock down happens, and the process. I am new to chicken keeping, and this is my first attempt at incubating. I have two eggs that were set 13 days ago, and 10 others that were set 8 days ago.

    Thanks for any info

Lockdown is days 18 -21 when you up the humidity in the incubator, and do not open it.

Day 18 is also when you stop turning the eggs.
