So I have put my first batch of shipped eggs (as well as a few home "growns") in lock down.. So far my % hasnt been great. I started out with 4 bantam Fiskie Ameraucana project eggs, 8 bantam Lavender Ameraucana, 20 Cuckoo Marans, and 4 Buff Orpingtons.. In lockdown is 3 bantam Friskies (I dropped one while candling.. oops) 8 bantam Lavender Ameraucanas, 8 Cuckoo Marans, and 2 Buff Orpingtons.. I should mention the project ameraucanas and the lav. ameraucanas where not shipped so to speak as I went and picked them up but they did make a 2hr drive home.. The shipped Cuckoos % is horid with only 8 going in BUT their so dark Im not even sure all 8 are lockdown worthy.. the others just never developed.. and the buffs were out of my new hen and roo who are young.. (current eggs are having great fertility %s now)

So total I have 21 out of 36 that have made it to lockdown..

Please wish me luck that everyone comes out in good shape.. this is only my second hatch.. my first hatched on Sat and all 3 I put in are currently asleep next to my coumputer screen in their brooder.. lol

I am wishing you lots of luck - hoping for many pips and zips, giving you fluffy chicks

I went into lockdown on the 10th at 8:20pm. Don't feel bad I started with 39 eggs most from my own young birds testing fertiltiy I have 20 in lockdown the rest were clear. So far 1 hatched today and I have 3 more pips. cnat wait to see if the leghorn pipped hatches that was one of my young birds eggs. most of the others were my young giants and silkies. good luck to yuo on your hatch Micki
