lockdown day count question

I have a question. I put our eggs in the incubator at 7:30 pm on Jan 22. What day should I use for the 18th day?

Febuary 9th will be day 18 for you.

scroll up--- Yorshire coop answered the same question for me: My answer is Feb 9 would be your day 18.


"Day 1 is counted the next day so after a full 24 hours of incubation. Say you set on a Monday morning, day 1 would be Tuesday morning, day 2 would be Wednesday and so on."

After the initial hatch & rest they should get more perky. Congrats on your new hatchers

Well guess what. I got myself into a pickle.... I thought I wrote down the date for the 2nd batch I put in, but with goat babies coming and chaos here...I don't think I did. I am trying to back track and can't pin point an exact date.... I think it was the 22nd of Jan, but I'm not sure, it could be the 25th? arrgghhh I don't know what to do to determine the lock down date any advice..?? Thanks..

Have you been running both batches in the same incubator? Have you candled to see what development is like? You can get away with not turning after the 14th day so not been quite sure what day should not be too bad.
