Lockdown Day!

We actually had 3 at the wrong end. I helped that one and I'm closely watching the other two. Hopefully they get out alone. If not I'll try to help them too. But I'll give them time.

Yes..I always give them time to get there on their own first. But if it drags out or they seem to REALLY be struggling, then I will help a little at a time until they make it out! So how many babies do you have so far?

And the BIGGER question...when will your family make it out of that closet?

LOL!!!

We have a total of....7. I did end up helping a bit, but I went extremely slow and gave them time to help or even do it alone. We did the float test and the others had no movement. And One passed last night. The 7 are super cute balls of fur now! All are doing awesome it seems.

So important to create awareness and acceptance in every childs path of learning and simply being in this world. Any diagnosis is merely and explanation and never a limitation. I am very lucky to share this path with my families!!!!

Hahaha, We're guessing rooster, He(Or She) Is already very bossy! Lol. And protective! and thank you! Faith continues to blow my mind daily! I constantly tell people that she doesn't have a disability,. She CAN do everything that everyone else can do, She just does it on her time, and In her own unique way. She's AMAZING with the chicks, just as she is with her siblings.

what an awesome experience for all of you! Thanks for updating so we could follow along.

I have been tinkering with the idea of making an incubator, but you really made it sound do-able in your blog post - plus you linked to all the products! Score. I don't really need more straight run chicks LOL, but I'm being a stubborn perfectionist and am NOT happy with the extremely low hatch rate I got the first go round with a borrowed LG (2/14) or with the non-existent hatch rate going right now(0/8)...day 22 and nothing. :/ Despite leaving it alone, the temp swings were bad and I'm not sure these are ok. I should *probably* just spend some of the $40 toward actual chicks!! My homeschooled boys are no longer interested and think it's boring when I stare at the incubator. LOL

MaconMommy, I'm typically more of a lurker/researcher *and* took a few years off once I had my flock going last time which may explain the numbers, but I am in awe that you joined BYC a month ago and have more posts than I do. ;) you go girl!
