Lockdown Day!

MaconMommy, I'm typically more of a lurker/researcher *and* took a few years off once I had my flock going last time which may explain the numbers, but I am in awe that you joined BYC a month ago and have more posts than I do.

you go girl!

Haha, I've needed a lot of advice! And I've gotten nothing but amazing responses and extremely helpful advice! The Incubator worked amazing! I did actually find out that the ones that didn't make it to lockdown, and the ones that didn't hatch, had been FROZEN before being sold to me. Only 1 From the 11 hatched! And only because they got it directly from the nest and handed it to me. So If I exclude those, We had a 100% hatch rate. And the wiring of the incubator was Really simple! The chart that comes with the Inkbird Thermostat is self explanatory. I was really worried that I'd mess it up, But it went really well for a first time I think! We have the 48Qt Coleman Cooler and haven't had any issues with heat. They have a similar one at Walmart for half the price. So you could probably get away with spending about $30 on the whole incubator. Lol

Hahaha, We're guessing rooster, He(Or She) Is already very bossy! Lol. And protective! and thank you! Faith continues to blow my mind daily! I constantly tell people that she doesn't have a disability,. She CAN do everything that everyone else can do, She just does it on her time, and In her own unique way. She's AMAZING with the chicks, just as she is with her siblings.

So AWESOME and 100% AGREE!!! People often mistake disability for not be able to do

Which is not true...skills and learning just occur many times in a different way...or look different, but still occur!!! Kids just do not fit into a little uniform "box" of learning and growth....and these kiddos remind us there is no "box", just different ways of learning and growing

Glad she is enjoying the new babies!!!
