Okay. This is my first time hatching eggs. These are either a golden 300 crossed with a khaki Campbell drake or pure Khaki. I have a feeling it's the cross. Last time both eggs had died before hatch. This time I have 2 good eggs, the only 2 I put in, alive and well. Tomorrow is lock down. However, they're not taking the whole space in the egg. I was wondering if since it was fertilized by a smaller breed of drake it might not take up the whole egg? I can see flippers and movement very well. Should I still put it on lock down? Both eggs look the exact same. I thought I had messed up my dates and missed a week or something but I did not. I had set them on 4/25. The pictures are of the egg candled on the top and bottom. I know some of my bigger quail eggs aren't completely full before hatch but my chicken eggs are always full.

Thank you in advance.

My advice would be to lay them on their sides separate from a turner and wait a day recandle.

you may have had a temperature dip which can slow down the eggs a few days. I usually wait until I see an external pip to take my humidity into the 60% range. But I have had one duck egg hatch that didn’t seem like it filled the egg, it had been due to a large air cell size.
