Lockdown eggs

Hi, I have several cold spots in my incubator and during the hatching of the chicks, the chicks are pushing the unhatched eggs to these cold spots which I think are killing the babies before being hatched. The cold spots are along the edges of the incubator. It’s a chickcozy incubator.

I want to immobilize the eggs without causing issues with temperature or humidity or with the chicks getting out of the egg. I was thinking about using egg cartons without the tops.

Will this work or will this bring in other problems or do you have any suggestions or recommendations?
