Ok i put my eggs in on the 5th of feb at 6 pm.

I need to know... When to take the turner out? When they go into lockdown? Is 60% humidity ok for hatching and lastly when will they hatch?

Thanks in advance!!

Samantha

You'll want to stop turning them at the end of day 18, which will be Wednesday the 23rd. That's when they go into lockdown as well. Humidity should be between 65% and 75% for the last 3 days (around 50% for the first 18). They'll likely hatch on day 21, which is Sunday the 27th. Once they're in lockdown DO NOT OPEN THE INCUBATOR. That's the hardest part.

thanks a bunch!! so lockdown will be tomorrow afternoon says the website... Can't wait!!!

Yep...dont open the bator (mental note) got it!! i've incubated once before and it was a massive fail!! i think it was the humidity though...first timer didnt check it at all.

this time is doing much better!! out of 24 only 7 seem to be duds. we will see how many hatch.

If it were my hatch, I would not go into lockdown tomorrow. You set eggs at 6pm so do not count that day as day 1, count Feb. 6 as day 1 and go into lockdown on the 23rd late in the day, expect hatching late on the 26th, through the night and on the 27th. Have humidity between 70% - 75% and when they start hatching, the humidity will go up so don't panic. Remove any duds when you go into lockdown...the last thing you need is an exploding bad egg with babies trying to hatch.
