lockdown question

Hello I am on lockdown with my 17 eggs...

do I need to put something under the eggs?(I have and LG) I don't know if it is okay for the chickies to hatch out on the metal screen or if I should put down a cloth or paper? This is my first try at incubating hopefully I will get a few fuzzy butts.

Some people put down some nonskid shelf liner, I just let them hatch on the wire. If you put a cloth or paper towel down, it could come in contact with the water, which would be very bad.

Also, if by chance one were to hatch a bit sticky, it would stick to the paper and possibly injure itself.

I let mine hatch on top of the wire also, it lets the smaller pieces of shells fall through.

Mine also just hatch out on the wire, no problems.
