So I had my DH build me a fridge a bator. Got the temp & humidity problems regulated, have all the turners in.
and have hatched out multiple numbers of chicks.
However my hatch rate SUCKS.
at lockdown day 18, I move the eggs to my old incubator little giant styrofoam. up the humidity as high as possible (60+)
and watch through the little windows anxiously.
the hatcher get cleaned after every hatch with soap and water, sprayed with a medical grade disinfectant and put back in place for the next batch.
I usually have eggs hatching every week (lol with 4 turners its sometimes 40 per hatchdate)
but it seems that of the eggs I put into the hatcher, less than half of them have hatched recently.
and I am totally puzzled! and not to mention, FRUSTRATED!!
anybody have any ideas?

hmm... my fridge-a-bator is usually around 45-55%.
though when I open the door it does drop lower.
I usually go in once a day to check water level and/or add eggs.
would that be the reason?
