Ok lockdown is today and I have bumped my humidity up and taken the 'bator off the turner.

My question now is;

Do I leave the rails in and leave the eggs upright?

Or take the rails out and lay the eggs over?

Or do I use a cut down egg carton... I have heard good and bad things about this and now I am confused!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you!

Anyone... more opinions? I've done a bunch of searches and can't figure out which method is best... I'm really nervous and want to do the best thing possible and I really want to get this taken care of early in lockdown, I need to decide how to do it asap. Thanks!

I have tried both
and I like hatching on the egg cartons
It make it easy for the chicks since the shell is not all lose is kind of hold to something , so chicks can kick out faster

also it prevents eggs from being kicked from hatched chicks as well as preventing chicks for drowning when the get rolled over the area thay are pecking from .

Hope it helps

keep us posted whatever option you choose and the results please
