LOCKDOWN QUESTIONS

Great! They all look good. I would open the air vent.

You took the egg turner out or turned it off now, right?

There is no need to add safety holes at this point yet

Yes the turner's out eeeek no chirping but definitely tapping and the malpositioned one is moving alot so fingers crossed, I'll fully open vent now and keep you upto date think it's gunna be a sleepless night in this house lol thank you xx

No external pips yet when should I think about an air hole xx
I do a safety hole 24 hours after internal pip. From my research, it’s perfectly safe to do that as long as it’s just a pin sized hole. I sometimes even do it earlier than 24 hours if I’m concerned for whatever reason. I know it’s not strictly necessary but it doesn’t hurt, and it gives my babies every chance.

I used a sanitized screw to make the safety holes. I followed the directions in that article I posted. It’s a bit slow but not too difficult

I found the best way to do the screw safety hole is, instead of twisting the screw back and forth, hold the screw still and twist the egg itself instead. Turned my 10 minutes into 1 minute! :p
Edit: Meant to say, go ahead and do a safety hole now if you’d like @Quacklet-newbie
