I have read and read about this, but I guess I need a little reassurance since this is my first time hatching. I have 20 eggs that have made it to lockdown. On day 18 I bumped the humidity to 67-68% and the temp is holding steading at 99.4. Today is day 20 and no eggs have pipped yet. Is my temp ok? Humidity? I know it's only day 20 but I'm scared to death I'm going to kill those poor chicks!

Your settings are fine, if they don't hatch it is not you're fault. Just keep the incubator closed and let them hatch ;-)

Thank you so much! My kids and I have been staring at the incubator since lockdown just waiting for something to happen, lol! I appreciate you reassuring a newbie. I candled all of them on day 18 and they looked great- lets just keep our fingers crossed!

Usually mine hatch right on time but I just had a whole batch (about 100 chicks) hatch a day early, I've had them a day or two late also. You should be able to hear some peeping between today and tomorrow. As a side note, something that is cool; once the chicks start to hatch if you sit really quietly next to the incubator you can hear them breaking the shell as they work their way around to hatch.
