Lockdown

I have 12 game bird eggs going into lockdown today and it’s so exciting. I’m looking forward to meeting these new babies and seeing what colors they turn out to be. It’s also the first time i’ve hatched eggs that weren’t from my own flock! I’m super excited i’m going to set up the brooder later today and i’m going to TSC to get a bag of chick feed and a brooder plate to get ready for them Havent had chicks in two years and I love raising them. I’ll add pictures as they start to hatch!!

I think the eggs have started internally pipping!

This is the most painful part for me because i’m not very patient lol but hopefully tomorrow they will have externally pipped

I think so. I think over 24 hours later is a concern... the babies are probably taking a nap!

Ok thanks! They were chirping a little bit last night but have since stopped. I’m sure it’s a lot of work on them.
