Lockdownnnn !

I put 4 Goose eggs and 1 duck egg in the incubator last month! Sadly though one of the goose eggs started leaking so it got tossed, another at day 6 looked like it had a half formed baby in it so it went out to, and then the third started leaking and smelled bad around day 12, So i figured the other was gonna be heading out soon with this luck, NOPE! Both my last goosey and 1 duck are kicking around in there real active last night! so they went on Lockdown!! (i set duck egg a day early so its about the same)

Someone told me you nearly always have to help geese hatch.. True? What do I need to know when it starts? How long should I wait before picking some of the shell off so it can get out?
