Locked down my first set of eggs today!

Crossing my fingers- locked down my first set of eggs today! I only have a flashlight to do candling with, but 5 of 6 definitely have SOMETHING in them, so lockdown was on 2 Americauna eggs and 3 wheaten maran eggs, won them at auction a few weeks ago!

good luck! i locked some down last night...so if all goes well, we should have babies on the same day

THEY STARTED EARLY- one wheaten maran is out, 1 WM has a hole and so does 1 americauna! last WM is rocking, so we are just waiting to hear from the last americauna! Pretty good for my first hatch, and I had some temperature swings so I was worried about them!

I heard some peeps this morning before I left for work. I can't WAIT to get home!

Well I think I ended up with 4 chicks- but my 2yo was being to rough with one I think we may lose it.

He is finally walking and peeping again, only time will tell. I put a lock on the brooder (old bird cage) so they can have a break from him! Last egg still hasn't moved, I may open it up tomorrow to see but I think it's not going to hatch. Got two black chicks and two yellow chicks. Not too bad for our first hatch!

Well I think I ended up with 4 chicks- but my 2yo was being to rough with one I think we may lose it.

Congratulations hope I get a good number out of my 10 that are due on the 13th/14th. That will be my first hatch. I can't wait!! So excited.

Just locked down on my first hatch, 13 silkie eggs. I cant wait, candled all of them and I think they look pretty good. My broody hen is also sitting on four eggs this is so exciting!

I am happy to report that 11 of my 14 eggs hatched over the weekend. ConsideringI did just about everything wrong and had two power outages one during the hatch...tg it was HOT here, I think I did pretty good for a first timer. Now, I have to le tthe little buggers go to thier new home- since I told the neighbor I would hatch some eggs for him (his eggs)...me and my big mouth!!! My daughter said I should lie and say they didn't hatch, lol gotta love those crazy baby fuzzy butts...they are so much fun to watch!
