If you have the hovabator with the little slot in the corner for the turner code you can do what I did.
I ran aquarium tubing into that slot and down through the grate into the trough. I put the outside end in the end of a plastic turkey baster, it fits very snuggly.
You can heat water in th micro wave as needed and pour it into the bastor with out the bulb attached. Then if you need to up your temp or your humidity you can suck out the cool water by adding the bulb back on and then add the warmer water with out opening.
I try not to squeeze too much air in there because I do not want to effect the CO2 build up.
