Locked down the eggs and temp has NOSEDIVED and won't go back up! HELP

If you have the hovabator with the little slot in the corner for the turner code you can do what I did.

I ran aquarium tubing into that slot and down through the grate into the trough. I put the outside end in the end of a plastic turkey baster, it fits very snuggly.

You can heat water in th micro wave as needed and pour it into the bastor with out the bulb attached. Then if you need to up your temp or your humidity you can suck out the cool water by adding the bulb back on and then add the warmer water with out opening.

I try not to squeeze too much air in there because I do not want to effect the CO2 build up.

Thankyou SO much...your suggestions are SO ingenious you really should write a book! The turkey bastor idea isbrilliant because yu can ADD or remove water without opening the lid. And the water bottle idea worked a treat. I am not sure I will have a single egg hatch tomorrow but the girl who sold/sent me the eggs thanks there may be fertility problems so that makes me feel better. Anyway, how do you tell if an egg is fertile...can you see the 'bullseye' throug the shell??? Also when you throw a clear egg out and you crack it can you see the bullseye then?

I have an HB on my kitchen table and keeping the humidity up to 35% has been my biggest problem...we have to check it hourly, which is a little difficult at night! Fortunately, my wife has been having problems sleeping the last few nights and has been very diligent about checking it! She still thinks I'm crazy for wanting chickens, but she's supporting me!!
