Locking chickens out of the coop all day?

I don’t lock my Chicken out either. Unless cleaning. Sometimes my wife locks me out when she’s cleaning.

I wouldn't lock mine out either. With changeable weather and fluctuation temps, they need a refuge and a place where their water stays in liquid form (we have metal waterer/base heater). Not only that, but if they're always out, predators take greater notice. Egg collection is more reliable with access to nest boxes, I could go on and on...
