I'm getting ready to build my run, it will be 8ft x 20ft. The boarder on the bottom will be 2x8x10 and I plan on going down 1ft with 1/4 in galvanized wire mesh and burying it and hopefully nothing will try and dig down a foot to get in. I'm then going up 1ft with the same mesh from the 2x8x10. Now I'm not sure if I should use chicken wire or something a little stronger up the sides to the roof this will go all the way around the run. I plan on covering the roof at a slant and using some king of durable roofing material. The predators I'm looking at are hawks, opossum, fox and raccoons. I think this should hold up, the only thing I'm worried about would be the chicken wire. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

chicken wire is only designed to keep them in, not to keep predators out. hard wire mesh/ cloth at 1/2 inch is a good option, its not all that cheap but it will keep most things out
