Log playhouse converted into a chicken coop!

That is going to be the coolest coop! I love that you just have it sitting there ready to be converted. I suggest checking out the different coops on here in the gallery and compile the ideas you like best into yours. I would encourage putting a solid piece of linoleum over the floor for ease of cleaning as i'm guessing it has wood right now? Love all the window light your hens will have!

Looks nice. Window should come in handy for ventilation. I used some scrap log cabin panels and made mine. I was gonna seal the gaps between some of the boards but after reading of others ventilation problems I decided to leave it open.

I have linoleum tiles from renovating A house a couple months ago. I'm thinking the back wall is where the nesting boxes will be. I'm excited to start working on it. The front of the house will be fenced so the chickens have space to walk around. As for winter the house it sound! I'll have to fill on a couple cracks but nothing to bad.

That is gona look great, there are lots of ideas on the build site, I converted my shed for my girls, think about where your roosts and nest boxes are going, as you don't want them walking through poop to go lay an egg, also I didn't seal any cracks or gaps in my shed as it all helps for ventilation, I will say I am in the UK so do not have extreme weather, can't wait to see pics of when you start

We converted a fort/ cubby into " coronation cottage " and are currently doing another cubby conversion. If you can paint the interior , makes cleaning much easier. Best thing we ever did, was put linoleum down on the floor. The poop dries and then you can sweep it up with a dust pan. Only mistake we made, was we probably put the perch too close the wall, every now and again someone poops down the wall, yuck!
