My first ever hatch was a bust due to a crappy incubator, I only hatched two chicks. One is a definitely EE cockerel, and he is my only remaining chick from that hatch, he is now 5 weeks old. I hatched an OE pullet with him, but she died yesterday (I believe she was born with something wrong. Didn’t feather out properly, always seemed weaker...).
My second hatch in a new incubator went great (90%), and I have 5 two week old babies from that.
My question is, should I try to include him with my two week olds? Or should I integrate him into my established flock of 9 hens? I have let him range with my hens and also with the small babies when I bring them outside. He has been pecked by a few hens but seems to hold his own, run away and then fly back at them.
