If you'd had asked me before September 2018 where I saw myself in 6 years, I never would have thought to answer getting ready to move into a new home on our 2.5 acre ranch with horses, goats, and poultry....yet here I am living my dream. I'm so grateful for this life I've been blessed with, and decided to share it with yall in a ranch thread(hopefully I'll keep it up this time
).
First off some backstory:
I've loved horses all my life and in September 2018 I was able to get my first horse, we didn’t have acreage so we kept her in a boarding facility. Seven months later we rescued 2 more horses and in February 2021 we rescued a mini horse. In February 2022 we bought 2.5 acres, it had a barn and small house but both had to be torn down completely, production quickly insued building our own barn....but first CHICKENS in March 2022
. In August of 2022 we where able to bring our horses to our own property. In March 2023 we got 2 goats. In March 2023 we also started building our new home on our property, it's been a long road building but we are nearing the end!
So that is our journey, a long one but with so much reward.
Now to introduce some animals!
Hollywood, American Quarter Horse, 21 years old
Fabio, Mini Horse, 5 years old
Victor, Percheron/Thoroughbred cross, 25 years old
Delilah, American Quarter Horse, 25 years old
S'mores and Oreo, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, 3 years old
Willow, great pyrenees, 1 year
Bagel, domestic short hair, 2 years old
Destiny, Siamese cat, 3 years old
Bindi, English bulldog, 10 years old
Cookie, Umbrella Cockatoo, 26 years old
Daisy, cockatiel, 16
Random chicken pics(we have 32)
So that's everyone right now, we will have some new arrivals very soon!
