I totally agree with you. We had recently moved our chickens from an old metal barn up to a new wooden shed-style coop closer to our house (and in a more wooded area). I think it stressed them out, plus exposed them to more wild birds that carry the mites. I've never had an experience with mites and had no idea they were a potential problem and I've heard a lot of people say this was their first year dealing with them. Definitely a wake up call that I need to be more proactive in keeping the chickens clean and happy
