Lonely chicken

How does one keep a “house chicken”. I know my husband and would not let me do that, no chance in hell, but now I’m curious.
Just get a dog crate. You can easily put the chicken in the crate at night to sleep and keep it in the house... mine stay outside but I do bring them in from time to time... I have Seramas which are a tiny breed.

We set up an unused room for chickens at a friends house. They only have that room. It has plastic taped to the base boards covering the floor, tarps laid over that that are taken outside and hosed off, and we lay moving blankets down that we change out regularly. The walls are a washable paint. They have nesting boxes, a roost, and even a kiddy pool full of dirt for dust baths and we add sod now and then. They get to go outside during the day as well. But with the predator problem where they live it was just safer to keep them inside at night. Mountain lions, bears, stray cats, dogs, raccoons..the list goes on.
