Hi! I am new here. This is going to be a little long...A little over two months ago I hatched 2 crested duck eggs. I always had the plan set up to take them to their new home when they were fully feathered. I went to take them there last week and one duck died as soon as we arrived there. I have no idea why, they were both happy & healthy. I don’t know if it was just that scared from being in the car or what. It was extremely heartbreaking for me and my 4 year old. But their new home would not accept a single duck. Now I have one lonely duck that needs a new home. I have no idea what to do, I do NOT want to just dump her off at a pond, she is very loved. My HOA will not allow me to keep her and I know I can’t provide her a happy life, she needs duck companions. Can anyone advise me on what to do? I am in the Houston, TX area btw.

if it is a hen I will take her. I have 6 ducks and am NW of Houston. I have one duck rehomed from this site. Due to the death, I would prefer to wait a few days or set up a method to quarantine her.
