Lonely Duck :(

I had two beautiful Pekin ducks a male and a female. Tragically on Friday my male duck passed away in the shelter. I have no idea how he died he was fine that morning it was a bit chilly but not under 35 degrees. Now all I have left his my female duck and she is really lonely. She misses her cuddle buddy. But I don't know what to do I have to give her away by August because I am leaving for college and there is just no way for me to take care of here and I want to try and find her a new home soon so she can make new friends!

I am so sorry to hear your Pekin drake died. I doubt the cold had anything to do with his death. It is very kind of you to be concerned about you Pekin female being lonely. In the mean time, I hope you and your family can spend a little extra time keeping her company.
