You may have to get him a mate! Or re-home him. But he gets along well with your other flock and he's not a hassle, you should be good.

I lost a female to raccoons a few weeks ago. I had 2 guineas in my flock for 10 years, brother and sister and were inseparable! Broke my heart. So I got 2 females for my poor lonely male and now he's a new bird with his new harem! Guineas are very social birds and need a buddy or two to be happy! She'll probably keep calling until you find her a buddy-I suggest a male...Well, I am now down to lone guinea fowl. She is a female. At one point, we had 9 guineas. Most of them were finished off by an awful raccoon attack a few months ago. Our one lonely female had a male friend, and he is MIA. We think a predator got him. Our guineas run free range around the farm, and they usually come back in the evening inside the chicken coop. (they get along fine with the chickens). We don't want to get more guineas; they were fun to have around, but now just a plain hassle. We keep all our birds as pets here. Wondering what to do? The poor thing keeps calling out for her mate, but he doesn't show up.![]()

Yes, but I enjoyed hearing about your lucky guy who is a new man, or... bird!!! Pics???Oops, just noticed this is a very old thread!!
I've also seen the sibling connection. I had 2 sisters last yr. When one went missing from her nest, it was the sister, not the mate, who kept going back to the nest for months, calling for her.Oops, just noticed this is a very old thread!!
They're doing very well-I separated them for a few days and was pleasantly surprised at how good Sid was with his new girls! One is around 7 mos and the other is maybe 5 years old. I'll keep them inside for at least a few weeks before I let them start going outside. With all the predators and a busy road nearby I can't free range them-so my backyard is fenced in with poultry netting and they get locked up at night! I'm retired so I have the time to keep a good eye on em during the day.Ill be bringing in another 10 hens and a rooster in another month or so! Should be fun!!
