We had a little flock of 5 banties along with our flock of big girls and ducks. 4 of our little hens disappeared without a trace. We’re thinking something grabbed them. Now all that’s left is this little guy. He is lonely and the big chickens pick on him unmercifully. He follows them around and they chase him away. Any advice? Should we get him new little friends? Is there anything we can do to integrate him in with the others or are they just going to keep picking at him because he’s little? I don’t want to rehome him as he’s my daughter’s 4-H project but we will if it’s in his best interest.

I would just get him some new little girls.Wouldnt risk intergrating him with the bird birds, escpecially if he isn’t fighting back.

That’s what I thought. We were kind of waiting it out hoping they would all work it out but it’s not happening. I just needed to hear from someone experienced that I wasn’t overreacting. Plus I need to have something to tell my husband when he gives me a hard time for getting more chickens.;)
