Thank you for posting this. I read it when it was first posted and I remembered the “treats for herding them into the coop” part and have actually been using that method to get the little girls to go to bed at a decent hour. The T-pole may be something that gets built this weekend![]()
I haven't had to fish them out of trees yet, but when I move them around inside my coop -- getting them off the nestbox landing perch or the top of the broody breaker and onto the perches -- I use the same technique to get them onto my hand. Much less flapping and protesting than when I was trying to grab them around the wings.
