Hi, I'm new here. My daughter in the country raised a turkey hen along with her chickens, and the turkey thought they were her flock. Now in the process of moving, my daughter sold her chickens and I took the turkey who now resides in a large pen in my backyard. She has gotten aggressive and I think it's because she lost her flock and had to move. I know turkeys are social birds. How can I help her?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I'm not a turkey person, but please do drop by the turkey section of the forum for all the other turkey keepers help. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/20/turkeys
It does sound though that she could be lonely right now and maybe you could get her a friend to keep her company? I'm sur she would be so much happier then.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Thanks for the welcome! I now have found the turkey forum page, thank you.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. At some point do you want to breed her and raise turkey poults? Maybe you should get a tom for her. Well , the turkey folks can advise you much better than I.

Not really planning that, but a friend turkey is a good idea
