Lonely week old chicks- How to introduce new chicks? And a heating question.

Oh! That's a great idea. That will at least keep the heat in.

I have added three chicks to the lonely one, by the way, and they all seem to be getting on well.

Yay that's good to hear, and they'll help to keep each other warm as well.

is there a way to pretect them better so a cat doesn't make off with any more? Most likely it will be back when it's hungry.

Turns out it was a hawk, it came back the next morning for seconds, but I had already moved the remaining chick inside. We had them on our semi-enclosed porch, but now they're in the house. I'm going to put a roof on the coop before I put them outside.

And all of my neighbors will laugh at me, because they just let theirs run free in the streets.

U could use a hot water bottle with a cover on it, it'll be big enough for all of them to keep warm on
