long term stomach bypass questions

In this world of HIPPAA, it is not politically correct BUT, I'd call the doc's office, ask for the nurse, explain the situation and ask if you should ignore his symptoms, up his insurance or decide on an undertaker. After all, you are only concerned about him and they can't hate you for that. At the very least, they can reassure you and you can tip them off to ask the right questions when he DOES see the doc.
I am quite certain he is not the only uncooperative male patient that they have.

Seems to be a common problem in the male sex, isn't it? He finally let me send in his spend down for this month so he will be covered by medicaid for the month of June. He is on disability because of a number of serious health issues. If he just sends in his monthly spendown his medical expenses are completely covered. The fact that he finally let me send it in tells me he is starting to get a little concerned about the situation himself.

If he can make it until the middle of next week, about four more days or so, he will be covered. He has been better the last couple days than he has been. At his next doctor's appointment with his primary physician I am going to insist that the nurse let me talk to the physician before he goes in to see SO.

if his renal function is good, then feed him GNC isopure, 2 scoops has 50 grams of protein, or a Robard meal replacement for gastric bypass patients, 26 grams protein, 10 grams carbs, 6 grams of fat, eggs are a good soft and easy and full of protein
That's a thought. I made up a double batch of tapioca pudding and he managed to finish that off in the course of about three days. I then made up a batch of a creamy very easy-to-digest rice pudding, and he is able to eat a good serving of that. I'll see if I can find the products you mentioned.

He is not in pain and he is not vomiting, so I think that is a good sign.

Hello,

He needs to get into a GI Doctor right away and have an EGD. That is an upper Endoscopy to find out what is going on. Needs to find out if he has scar tissue, a stricture in his upper GI tract or what.

Please keep us posted,

Maye
