My husband is searching on Craig's list today for anything from your list! I need to connect you two so I'm not the middle person here. He is not on BYC though, he just lets me glean all the great ideas and then he impliments them.
We have been shocked how much we have learned on here.
We not only have found out what breed of chicken the feed store up here accidentely sold us when we bought RIR pullets, but we learned how to do many things for them better, but also have learned how to make soap and laundry soap, as well as finding the great sister sites BYH and SS which I love as well. I haven't read much in the garden sister site but I'm sure it is great too.

I'll be more into gardening in the spring!

Thanks for all the bee help, I'm sure we will have more questions as we go along. Why don't you start a beekeeping thread so people can find you easily on here?

I'll bee (pun intended)watching this post cuz I'd like to put in a hive for my garden. The only thing is I don't want the expense of honey collecting. I just don't want to pollinate my squash by hand again. My wife sez I should get one but she's not going to do the work. If you knew my wife it's strange that she should suggest it. Then again she married me. LOL

I would like to make a beekeeping thread, but where would be the most appropriate subforum to post it in?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking one of these three:
Hobbies
Random
Other Pets/Livestock
---are bees considered Pets/Livestock?

I'm leaning towards Hobbies, since I fall into the hobby beekeeper category, but I'm just not sure if it would get found there.

I PM'd a mod and she said that Other Pets/Livestock would be a good place. So I'll start a thread there once I'm feeling up to it. I've been feeling a little under the weather lately. Look for it in the next day or two.
