Long time lurker first time poster!

G’Day from down under Bat & Sarah :frow Welcome!

Your chickens are adorable :love

As you have already received some great advice and links, I will just add that I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

The main run is fully covered and about 12x8 so there’s a lot of space in there. The smaller one is only partially covered and a paltry 2x6. I think it’s too small for more than a few youngsters. I’ve been letting them free range together with supervision but I’m usually intervening. It’ll work out as you say - thanks for the tips.

Well we finally got them to hang loose without any violence after a few weeks of the ‘look don’t touch method’. They’ve gone to bed after a little fuss from the polish and the vorwerk are in the small coop with a heat mat. No more stinky living room!
