Hello

I got my first hens a few months ago and must say i love the hobby of keeping chickens so far. I live in Sweden and the right now I got my hands full trying to make sure my little flock will make it safe through the winter.

The pics below show some of the chickens and their coop. I currently only have two sussex hens and two roos, but I look forward to getting some faverolle hens this weekend.

Thank you!
I built the coop and run in about one and a half week this summer. The run is fine but i have some ideas of what not to do when I build the next coop

. So far it has been -4.8C inside the coop when it was -10C outside, the chicks had no problem with that. As winter temperatures here can reach -30C though, I am preparing a slightly heated room for them in the barn to house them over the coldest months (december-february).

You always learn every time you build a coop/run. I'm on my second coop/run, and we are making lots of improvements from lessons we learned about what worked well and what didn't.
Good luck!
