Hi, everyone! I frequent these forums often, but finally joined with my first "issue".

I LOVE chickens. I swear I could pull a chair into my coop and watch them all day long! We started with 3 hens and a pretty rooster in a small coop next to our house. Then we adopted my sister-in-laws large coop also with 3 hens and a rooster. We were given 6 beautiful chicks, and are letting one sit on eggs right now (we candled them today. 5 are viable so we have our fingers crossed!) and are incubating 7 more.

Well, thanks for all of the amazing information in this site! It is so very helpful!! :)

I want to have an intelligent answer for you, but I don't

. I tried to look them up, but rather than take a stab in the dark and sound like a complete idiot, I'll sound like a basic idiot and say... I have four orange ones, 5 white-ish ones, one that's colored like a pigeon, and 2 black ones. Sorry I can't give you a better answer. I'm learning as I go!

Chicken TV is the best, new shows every day, no reruns, no cable or satellite bills. Lots of folks pull up a chair and enjoy them. It might be good to sit under an umbrella for poo protection.

Welcome to BYC!

Yes, nothing better than Chicken TV! I spend a great deal of time with my birds. Sometimes the hubby thinks I should set up a cot in the coop and just live with the chickens. HA!

Make yourself at home here on BYC and welcome to our flock!
