I have 10 hens that are laying on a regular basis. I have it set up that they can have enough food for 4 days and water enough for a week. I have never left then for more than 2 days. I am going away for 3 days. The temperature is suppose to be 97 degrees one of the days we will be gone. Should I have someone collect the eggs? I have never had a problem with predators so that is not an issue. Don't know if the eggs will spoil if they are out in 97 degree weather for a while.

They won't spoil in three days at 97*. A hen sits on them for 21 days at a little more then that, and they usually don't go bad and do hatch.

Neighbor can't or won't give you a hand? Or maybe this isn't an option. I don't know the situation but when I was away for vacation my neighbor covered and did a great job!
