Longest Egg Laying Streak

I lost Pepe today. More than likely she was stolen because she never wanders off specially by herself. But I am trying to be positive. Maybe she stepped out of the fence and someone is keeping her safe till they find the owners. She was on a 30 day streak.

Marcy the other Red-Sex link is still on a streak, she is on her day 94 today. Hopefully losing Pepe (they are from the same hatch and Pepe was the boss) does not effect her laying.

That's terrible that someone would steal her. My condolences.

Onyxia is still on her streak but she's laying about 2 hours later than she was, hoping she won't keep getting later.

I think she will be fine. Marcy also adjusted from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM about a week ago but hasn't moved down further.

well she waited until 3:30 pm to lay today. I think my new schedule might be messing with her. I've had to stay late at work a few days this week and so haven't gotten to feed them until a bit later, I was getting home at 8:30am but have had to stay until 9:30 the past few days so they didn't get fed until 10am. They were also locked in the run for a couple days because I had to lay grass seed and she's used to being out free ranging by 9am. I have a feeling she may skip tomorrow.

Yes that could be an issue. Mine switched from 6:30 to 8:30 when I started feeding them at 9:00 instead of 7 ish.

Onyxia broke her streak yesterday. Wednesday she laid very late almost 6pm and then skipped yesterday.

Marcy is on her Day 105. I had a scare yesterday. I thought she did not lay yesterday because I put the chicken in the new coop, however I discovered her egg later deep under the straw albeit it was broken.

So now she is 42 days away from breaking the World Record. I read that the longest egg laying streak for any bird is 146 days.

Marcy broker her streak thanks to the new coop (I think) or may be the confinement due to snow outside. Who knows but she did well 110 days.
This new coop has not worked out very well for me in terms of eggs

I went down from usually getting 4-5 eggs from 5 pullets to 8 eggs from 7 pullets on the first day of the coop to 3 yesterday from 9 (added 2 more the second day of the coop) to Zero eggs so far today. Usually all of my pullets except 1 are done by 11:00 AM. I hope this will just be temporary and they will settle down in a week.

I love this thread - only just found it because I have a hen on a 10 day (so far) streak. Most I have ever had. But reading what some of you have had is awesome! Go Floppy Go! Maybe she can be a contender!
