Good luck with your chicken adventures! I don't know how I ever managed without them now. I was like you but with horses. Had them when I was younger and then found other interests in life. Later on, I went back to horses and added chickens

. Want to start back into chickens? Build the best coop you can afford then start visiting the local chicken swaps to let folks know you are ready to buy. Once chicken math takes over you'll have no problems owning chickens. Remember, a good coop does not have to be expensive-check craigs lists, or if you are good with a hammer and saw start looking for recycled materials. Oh, and you must share photos with us!
