i decided it was for the best here...because of Dyson.... after i got him fixed it seemed like he couldnt hold his pee at all anymore. he was just pissing everywhere!...i tried to re-litter box train him...but it wasnt that..he already knew how to use the box fine...it was just he couldnt hold his pee anymore!

with male PBP's pigs...if the vet screws up thats what can happen....if the vet fixes them like a regular farm hog....because there is a little valve thingie that the PBP's have....and if the vet hits it...it can make them incontinet...and i think thats what happend with Dyson....he was using the litter box fine before the surgery!.....it pisses me off reallly..

Poor Hammie and Dyson, but they aren't alone Hilda will also be moving out. Although in her case it's her fault! She just refuses to full house train. As long as she is in the laundry room she will use the litterbox, but any freedom at all and she goes in the house. And the laundry room is just not big enough for her to live in all the time especially as she gets bigger. So right now she's staying on the deck, and gets to come in for a bit for some family time! But soon she will have her own pen outside.

I put them with my 2 goats...because they grew up together(hammie and cricket) ..cricket my doe thinks Hammies her man or something...really!! they play and sleep together..i've seen her groom him....then my weather gets jealous and he tries to shove Hammie off the hill...but pigs are strong and he cant do it..then he gets mad...lol..its a trip to watch them interact....BUT..my poor baby Dyson kinda gets bullied sometimes by the goats...not real bad...just some shoving...and i hear him squeal like hes upset...and it breaks my heart.( i mean really breaks my heart!) sometimes i wish i didnt get the 2 pigs, only because hammie was fine in the house...he never, ever had an accident in the house...but i just cant put Dyson outside alone because hes been with hammie for so long now..and they snuggle up at night and Dyson follows him around like he loves him or something..*sigh* i'm stressin' right about now about my babies..

another thing..i'm SO afraid of is them becoming un-tame being outside...i dont like this at all..

Hammie and Cricket as babies...

I wouldn't want to put Dyson out alone either, I was originally planning on two, but after desiding to try Hilda in the house I desided to stick w/ the one, I guess now I could get a second one!

I had wanted to put Hilda w/ the goats, right now they butt her (they were afraid of her at first, until they realized she was also afraid of them), I know they'd get use to her, but she has tried to bite the babies, so I'd rather just not risk it. She'll have her own pen, or possibly down the road I will put her w/ the bucks.

It's hard to leave them outside, I think your case is worse, in my case it's Hilda's own fault, but it's not Dyson's fault or Hammies either. I'm not to worried about summer, I just hate to think about them being out there in the winter!

the winter is whats going to kill me the most!...because, i cant heat the goat house, because then the goats will freeze when they go outside...they need to stay at an even temp in the winter...i cant heat them at night and freeze them in the daytime when they want to go outside...the pigs i know would be fine with heat in the wintertime....they'd stay inside all day and love it....but not the goats...

(i have some planning and hubby has some building to do before winter, i think.)
yeah, you have the perfect reason to get another piggy now! lol

Haviris, I would definately get another one now. I love the inter action between my girls and they always sleep side by side, Most of my pics of them are this way.

Stormy has a full blown case of food aggression. She will not take any crap off the dogs. She has even went after a dog and had it yelping while it was running out of the room.

That would be a pitt bull/blue heeler mix. So her case isn't any different than feeding my dogs that have the same problem. I seperate everyone. Her and Pitunia struggle slightly during feedings. Its mostly, hurry up and eat and check the other ones bowl.

I only have the problem when food is available. After meals are over my girls will snuggle up with the dogs for a nap.

I guess they have a love/hate relationship. Pitunia is still the sweetheart she always was. AWWWW!

I just watched Stormy pick a fight with my 80lb pitt bull. The dog was lying on the floor with his paws out in front of him. Stormy walks up to his face and stands there. No reaction from the dog. Then she bounces up and down a couple of times, front feet leaving the floor. No reaction still. She does this several more times and then bites the dog on the leg. Still no reaction except a puzzled look from the dog. Then Stormy walks behind him and bites his tail. My pitt bull looks at me like "can you make her quit, I'm taking a nap." She got bored then and went and layed down herself.

My pitt bull is up there in age, a few years back he wouldn't of went for all that.

My girls still amaze me. Everytime they ly down for a nap they always lay with there snouts touching.
gig.gif
Stormy is still holding a grudge for the dog stealing her carrot.

My dogs don't pay any attension to Pitunia {the extra sweet one} but when Stormy enters the room they all become alert. I guess they are all thinking I hope she doesn't try a nap in there spot, and the dogs WILL give up there spot. I named Stormy when I got her at 7 days old but back then I had no idea she would be like a storm coming through the house.

My Stormy grinds her teeth when she sleeps. Does anyone have any idea why she may be doing this?

My SO, the Snakeman says she is praticing keeping them sharp for when she is awake to bite a dog.

I do not think this is what is going on but would like to know why she does it. Any ideas?
