My SO caught me late last night about to fall asleep in my recliner, no make-up or anything and I had two weights in my lap that had apparently settled down for the night. The pic is sorta dark but you can see my girls preventng me from getting up.

I got pay back coming for my SO for taking this pic.

Earlier today I opened a window in a room we don't use that often and also the door is kept closed to that room. I ended up sleeping most of today but when I got up this evening I went into that room only to find it covered with flys.

What I'm thinking is maybe one of the outside cats tore a small hole near the corner of the screen and I hadn't seen it when I opened the window. There is no food, water or anything else in this room to attract flys so I don't know why there were so many.

I shut this room off just as quickly as I could. Of course Petunia and Stormy were both in there with me. I don't know how many escaped into the rest of the house yet. Well I started using my fly flap. All I could think about was all these little fly corpses I would have to clean up.

I began to notice that everytime I swatted a fly, there came Stormy running over to eat it. This went on for a long time and I was laughing so hard sometimes it was hard to swat the fly and I would miss and she would give me this look like "wheres it at." She was sucking them up so fast you would think she was trying to put Hoover out of business.

Petunia wanted no part of the fly killing or eating experiece. Hey maybe to Stormy they are like a delicacy. When I go out and check the rest of the house tonight for flys I will not be as upset. Stormy and I have a new game and it doesn't involve Pepsi.

I tell ya what guys, I love both my girls but Stormy is a trip. Its never boring. We are are working on learning one word every few days. Man they are quick learners.

I see after tonight the next word wll be "fly."

Did the pig bite to hurt you? I know mine nibble on my toes all the time. They will nibble on anything and everything just to see if its edidable. That is what a pig does, eat and look for stuff to eat.

My girls took a short nap. Man it must be hard work for Stormy cleaning up all those fly corpses and Petunia watching her like she is crazy. Anyway I treated them to a apple sauce cup when they woke up. Now that is funny seeing these individual packs of apple sause cups stuck to there snouts.

I killed a few more flys which Stormy was more than happy to clean up for me but I did find out one thing. She will also eat the occasional fly that sticks to the flapper so I don't have to get it off. Go Stormy Go Stormy!!!!!!!!

Your girls are adorable!! I would love to have another, but that's not in the cards right now

My girl is Maddie. She is a Leavitt potbelly, and has stopped growing at 30 pounds! So far she listens better than my dogs, is cleaner than them, and she can be trusted around the chickens

My Maddie pig is my baby, and I can't imagine her not being with us! It's really neat that I have found a place where I'm actually "normal"

Around here I'm kind of "different" - life would be so boring if I wasn't! Here's a pic of Maddie:

WOW Maddie is a cutie. I couldn't imagine life without mine. Petunia is 7 months and Stormy is 4months and we were all born on the 7th day of the month. Tell me that wasn't meant to be. I didn't find this info out until after I purchaced the girls.

Its a shame you can't have another one, the interaction between them is hilarious but that could be because they are like night and day. Totally different from each other but at the end of the day they always sleep side by side and snout to snout. I had wanted Petunia to have a friend besides the dogs which don't pay her much attension unless of cource she has something to eat at the time.

How old is Maddie?

I have worked really hard on my girls diet to make sure they don't become obese. I know someone who has a PBP that is obese and its really quite sad.

Does anyone know how many calories flys have when they are eaten?
gig.gif
Also how would you measure a portion of flys?

The only thing Petunia is interested in with the fly flapper is carring it in the middle of the handle aound the house. She has been doing this for several weeks now. I have no idea why. Strange hugh!
