What the guy is doing is selling this stuff, but promising secret "gifts". If you scroll down and click on the ham, sardines, or what ever, you will see what he is actually doing. He gave away a nitendo DS with games on one, and for the ham I think he sent some gift cards and a 4GB nano ipod. It actually seems kind of fun and you definitely get your money's worth! If I had the money and trusted people on the internet more, I would probably venture to do something like this.

So no, people bidding are not stupid. Think of this as a "Hatchery surprise special". you pay a high price, but have no clue what you are going to get. In the end, it turns out to be more than you expected!
