A maran laid the speckled egg. Normally they are not that spotted. Most of the time they are really dark.

Collecting eggs is my favorite time of day as well. Although treat time would have to be a very close second.

I can't wait for my EE to start laying so that I will get a little more color in my assortment. Right now I have white and brown. The brow vary from very light to darker, but not as dark as yours!!
