Look At What My Chicks were Picking On!!

So I go in to check/feed my soon to be 8 wk old EE chicks. I notice they are all freaked out, making alarm peeps and I open the door and find this in the water bowl

They had it cornered in their water bowl and even plucked some of its feathers out! How mean! It's now nestled in a wooden box in the wheelbarrow that's full of soiled shavings--better that than the floor I guess...

I should have clarified. It's a baby pigeon.

How big is it. is it smaller than the chicks or bigger?

Smaller, probably about the size of 4-5 wk old chicks. It is a wild pigeon but the parents are quite tame. I actually snuck in the barn awhile ago and caught one of the parents with it.
