Yep..keeping him on a chain all the time is a baaad idea... some dogs literally go nuts from it.

A wolf will manipulate anyone it sees to be turned loose. They are some smart creatures. My nephews wolf, well he is a piece of work and he is well trained. That danged animal knows how to sneak inside and open the fridge without anyone knowing.

As a basic concept yet. They can be trained to attack and kill a ball and only a ball so they leave other animals alone. But that is something they need to be trained for or eventually they WILL attack something live.

I know he is a wild animal. I've been bit by a dog before and would surely not want to be bit by him. They left today for a friends house to let him run on about an acre of 8 ft chainlink property to he can run for a week or so.
The breeder that he bought him from before he was even concieved yet is the breeder of wolve for movie sets like say..Twilight for example. His mom was a brown/silver and his father is a pure white the name skips my mind right now of the type.

His owner was tell me he was hungry once and got into a cabinet and got a can of dogfood. He said it looked like a 12 gauge got ahold of the can.

I saw a wolf hybrid catch and eat a squirrel once. She stalked it like a cat, made a quick dash and snip snip snip
she ate it whole the last snip cut off the tail that dropped to the ground. The whole event lasted maybe ten
seconds, leaving me completely astonished. She was half wolf and half husky.

This is typical behavior for an untrained wolf or hybrid. Though I would prefer to see a wolf in the wild, this one is domesticated, yet needs to be trained to "kill" inanimate objects. Such as a ball. Wolves are nothing to mess with. They are territorial, protective, possesive, and cunning. With that knowledge and good training, they can be a very good pet. The key is to get that training and continue it throughout the animals life.

A wild animal CAN NOT be domesticated. It will always have to be in a controled enviroment. NOT in a human enviroment of a household. The best wolfx I have ever met was a wolfxwolfmanstif, sorry to say had to be put down with skin problems. BUT he was the MOST loving animal I have ever met. EVERYONE loved this animal. But the reason he had such agony was human fold.
A Wolf is a noble animal and I respect them greatly. But a wild animal non the less.

Not to start a fight or anything, but any wild animal that is hand raised by a human is considered domesticated. There is nothing here that says this wolf WON'T be put down, my advice to the OP has been given in order to make the wolf a good pet.

A story to supprort your posts: Way back in the 70's there was a truck full of smuggled parrots from Mexico that overturned on SR22 in Orange, CA. Those birds all flew to the trees in Hart Park, which is located right beside the highway. It is now the year of our Lord 2011 and those parrots have multiplied like nobodys business. The ones that take the eggs fail. The eggs that stay in nests hatch. Not to mention the incredible amounts of requests from residents living nearby to have them ALL removed!!!
