P.S. it is a beautiful hybrid though (worked with wolves personally and in wild resource services for long time), and a pure wolf with ability to escape and not abused, will not attack ever, but hybrids... i know, never had trouble with pure wolves, but hybrids, have been cause of every problem that ive seen proof of. im sure they mean well, and hope its only temporary with the tie out, as they do learn to free themselves from them, as even my coon hound and border collie both could after seeing wolves and hybrids do this odd seeming maneuver that would pop the clasps.

Thank you for the very rare nice comments for those select people. Meo is not mine and is very well taken care of by his owner. Also he's not a hybrid he's full blooded or "pure" wolf.

If you have something negative say it to yourself and don't post it.

Speaking for myself and maybe some others rudeness was not my motive for my post but to share my experience with wolves. The photo with a chain around the neck was probably not wise and helped attract some opposing opinions. I will say they have an easier life in captivity but it is not easy on the eyes.

I have owned 2 hybrids, the best, most loving wonderful babies I've ever had the pleasure to have!!!! They were fabulous with my kids, rabbits, ferrets, and chicks. What I find sad is that people complain about wolves, but research shows way more people are mauled and killed by pit bulls than wolves. Look it up, it's a fact. No matter what, wolves get a bad rap, and it's simply because of what they are. Can't be in the wild cuz they kill farm animals. Can't be tamed because they aren't dogs. Can't be in a zoo cuz they go stir crazy. I'm a firm believer they will be on the endangered list sooner rather than later. And the fact is, someone, hundreds and thousands of years ago, listened to all the nay-sayers, and did, in fact DOMESTIC wolves, otherwise you would never have Fido. It has been done, and to say it cannot be done again is wrong. I am not disagreeing that proper precautions and proper expertise is needed, because it is, but I'd be more worried about a Pit as my neighbor than a wolf. Just my opinion.

My ex neighbor had a wolf that my wife used to groom many years ago. She was gentle enough for the most part when the owner was there otherwise it would not come near you it would stand aways off and watch you(wild instinct) at about 5 years old it turned on the owner when she was pulling her other little dog out of the wolfs'mouth. Oh and it was never on a chain or in a cage/pen.

Attack Chicken, Meo is a beautiful wolf. I love her silvery-white pelt!

All of you, I understand that the chain around the wolf's neck could start an argument or lead to suspicion that the wolf lives a miserable life. But please, do not judge a book by it's cover. One picture of the wolf on a chain doesn't mean she is kept on the chain all day long.

That is so terrible!! We have a Pit breeder 2 houses away from the bus stop. My kids hate that they are forced to stay IN THE CAR and wait for the bus. I'm all for well trained dogs, but to me, no strange Pit Bull is a friendly dog around my kids. They keep their dogs on a 3 foot leash, and the pups in one of those little fence things made for rabbits.

Every single month they have new pups. Some people really need classes on how to keep a pet.......

I agree BirdNut, I never even questioned the chain, because I expect to see it contained. I'd have been more upset to see it loose in the road or something.
