Snakes are awesome. That picture is really cool!

The pic is awesome. I live with SO, he is the Snakeman. We go on 100s of snake removal jobs every year. I have not got one once of fear for a venomous or non venomous snake. We end up in some pretty strange places some times doing a capture and removal.

What I am terrified of is a roach bug or a cricket. We have been out on a snake removal job before when one of these creatures mentioned actually touched me. I let out a blood curdling scream where the customer and the whole state actually probably thought I had got bitten by the snake.

Great picture . I would LOVE to have a California king snake. I just have a aversion to snakes that have front teeth! I used to have all kinds of western garter snakes. The guineas keep all the snakes away though. No garters,but also no rattlesnakes. I can deal with the loss.

You were right to relocate the snake. Rat snakes love eggs and as long as there is a food supply they will never leave.
